Women's Ministry The Women's Ministry at Christian Life Assembly is committed to Jesus Christ being glorified in the lives of women, to encourage spiritual growth and a mature and intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father; to empower women to know their potential through the Holy Spirit to be leaders in their homes, churches and communities. In an effort to encourage fellowship, women from different backgrounds, life situations, and experiences gather together for a variety of events from prayer meetings to baby showers to conferences to “Ladies’ Night Out”.  Two such events are the Mother’s Day Services and the Christmas Dinner.  Once a year, we receive a packet from the national office with program ideas for the ladies to run the Sunday services.  Mother’s Day was chosen for these services, and many ladies get involved.  Our Christmas Dinner is filled with great food, fun and fellowship.  Gifts are exchanged and games are played, and all that makes for a very enjoyable evening with sisters-in-Christ. Under the banner of Women of Purpose Ministry are Journey to Joy and "Food From the Heart" ministries.  Journey to Joy is a ministry for women and is dedicated to helping emotionally and spiritually wounded women find healing through small sharing groups.  We believe that by establishing an atmosphere of acceptance and confidentiality, women will feel free to explore their past, take a look at it, and deal with it according to Scriptural principles.  Jesus Christ offers life abundant, and it is our desire to see God's daughters enjoy the life He gives. Food From the Heart is a ministry created to provide meals (dinner) for families in crisis.  An example would be, but is not limited to, a new baby, extended illness, hospitalization of a family member, car accident or death in the family. Events Our major conference, “Women of Purpose Fall Conference”, is held at Hershey Lodge & Convention Center, Hershey, PA.  This conference is held by the Penn-Del Women of Purpose which is the governing body for women in the Pennsylvania Delaware district.  At the Conference, over 2,000 women gather, and there is such a diversity of women that this causes us to look beyond our own personal experiences and to take a glimpse at a broader spectrum of women with their own experiences to share.  This year's conference will be held November 17th to 19th.
